Weddings | Kristin + Danny

Monday, November 10, 2008

Officially my last wedding of 2008! I can't believe another year has come and gone and what a year it has been (taking in both the good and the bad)! I second shot for Erica Berger of Erica Berger Family & Wedding Photography this weekend. Having done so I was fortunate enough to meet a really awesome couple, Kristin + Danny. Danny owns a surfer charter company (I have yet to figure out what that is) and to go with their cool and casual lifestyle, the couple decided on a tropical-themed wedding.

The ceremony took place at Fort Mason Chapel in San Francisco, followed by a FANTASTIC reception at the Firehouse at Fort Mason (detail shots of the reception forthcoming). For now, a few of my favorite shots!

When I get married, I am SO rockin' a pair of red patent leather shoes...and yes, they will STILL be in style....

Kristin was smart to chose this dress. Very classy.

Kristin looking like a Hollywood starlet...

The couple opted to be as 'non-traditional' as possible. That meant no bridal party, small number of guests, and getting ready together before their big debut.

My favorite out of the entire series....

A funny family portrait.

The other favorite. So Hollywood!

Engagement Session | KT + Andrew

They met through work in Tonga a few years ago and since having met have traveled the world and back together. They have shared many a good time in their journey from camel back excursions on a hot, dry desert, to parasites and food poisoning (hey - whoever said romance was all flowers and chocolate?) A striking couple indeed, but that takes a backseat to the way they compliment each other, not just in looks, but in a way you can't really explain and a way you can't help but notice and want for yourself.

I listened to their story over delicious Burmese last night. They met the first night Andrew set foot on the island but only in passing though. Months later the two became good friends and the rest became history on a gorgeous New Year's Eve on an exotic locale. *dramatic sigh*

Though I'm not photographing their wedding, I will say the lucky dog that is will have such a blast with these two!

Yesterday I headed to Crissy Field to join Andrew + KT for a good time! Below a few of my favorites from our shoot.

KT and Andrew have grown into their flip-flops. Here, we surgically remove them for a couple shots.

What a cute pair of tootsies!

My F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E shot of all! This tells me, "now there's a couple who likes to have fun!"

KT and Andrew chat amongst themselves.

Now, before you go judging about how silly they look, remember this: running and jumping in the sand is NOT an easy task!

Mom, dad, friends and family....save the date!
